On July 20-21, 2017, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the NationaLease Young Executives Club Members held its sixteenth meeting. The NYEC reinforces the relationships between these current and future leaders of NationaLease. The group kicked off their meeting with a formal introduction of the members, which included three new additions to the group, followed by an enlightening Business Outlook discussion where the group shared their experiences in their marketplace, as well as what they’ve been facing with rental utilization and the competition. The morning continued with a candid discussion on current obstacles the group is facing. After a quick lunch, Joe Puff, Vice President of Truck Technology and Maintenance for NationaLease joined the group to discuss current maintenance trends. After wrapping up day one, the group mingled in a private setting at a local spot—Red, the Steakhouse in downtown Indy.
The NYEC reconvened on Friday morning with a 4-hour executive training session at the Cummins, Inc. corporate office in Columbus, IN. After a quick break for lunch, the group headed off to the test track to get a first-hand look at new product availability with Cummins, along with a ride & drive of their new equipment. The group wrapped up the meeting with discussion on the next NYEC meeting, tentatively scheduled for February 2018—location and details to be announced.
